The mission of the Management of Nutrients for Reuse (MaNuRe) Project is to help the user find innovative technology for liquid manure wastewater treatment and nutrient recovery.
Goals
The extension goals of this project are to:

- Engage stakeholders in the agricultural community and the water, treatment technology industry,
- Enhance understanding of water recycling technologies,
- Explore opportunities for and address challenges to implementation of manure treatment technology in the agricultural sector, and
- Develop a decision-support tool to aid selection of manure treatment technology.

The technical innovation goal of this project is to apply robust, membrane-based electrochemical engineering technology, which has been developed and commercialized in the energy sector, to enable manure treatment and water/nutrient recycling for food production.
