In this webinar, we will discuss why delivering multilingual farm safety and manure management training and communications is paramount to ensuring safer operations and reducing the risk of accidents, personal injuries, and environmental mishaps. Spanish-speaking workers represent a significant and essential portion of the agricultural workforce, yet many trainings, regulatory materials, and safety protocols are still delivered primarily in English. When critical information is not communicated in a worker’s primary language, it increases the likelihood of misunderstandings, improper application of manure, unsafe equipment use, and regulatory noncompliance. By prioritizing Spanish-language and culturally informed training, agricultural operations can improve clarity, strengthen worker confidence, enhance environmental stewardship, and foster a safer, more resilient workforce.
